Finally, we have a newspaper that will look at the issues of our lands, the people of our lands, and talk about what matters and what you want to hear. So, citizens of Ridgecrest and the surrounding realms, allow me to welcome you to the first issue of the Weekend Edition. Now, to the news:
As most people are aware, Huma recently made two interesting policy
decisions.
(a) He closed the doors to any new Ogres wishing to migrate to this realm.
(b) He forced the Barbarians' Guild to close its doors to new members.
Huma made this immigration policy for the simple reason that too many unskilled Ogres were entering these realms and not contributing. They come here and take our food and do as they please without even smiling once. Don't get me wrong. I like Ogres just as much as the next person does (I even know some Ogres I would consider friends) but there definately has been too many Ogres in these Realms which is why, in my journalistic opinion, Huma has made a wise move here.
However, I am a bit uncertain as to why Huma forced the Barbarians' Guild to accept no new members. It's hardly in danger of having too many members. So in my opinion, this is a real shame. Let's all try and remember that the Barbarians' Guild is unique to Ridgecrest. Our other guilds were founded in other realms and then brought here, but the Barbarians' Guild was founded here in Ridgecrest by Wolverine. This closure of the guild could well lead to the death of the Barbarians' Guild which is something every concerned citizen of Ridgecrest should not want to see occur.
When you think about it, this guild is not a problem at the moment, and instead it's the Adventurers' Guild that most of the unskilled Ogres went to on their arrival in these realms. If anything, it's the Adventurers' Guild that should be closed, but not the Barbarians' Guild.
